In Denmark, candles are used to create a relaxing, friendly atmosphere, turning any occasion into something special. With its long dark winters, Denmark has a strong tradition for making outstanding quality candles.
I first came across Ester & Erik candles whilst on my travels through Belgium. I was shopping in a fabulous flower shop just outside Brugge and they were on display. I was at first just intrigued by the way they were displayed in their stands and the huge variety of colours available. I bought a couple and returned home giving them to my wife as a present - she loved them. This got me thinking how good would it be if I could use them on a daily basis in my own designs. Having contacted Erik Møller I became a stockist.
Ester and Erik Møller began producing dipped candles in 1987. Their vision was to uphold the proud traditions, creating elegant candles of superior quality for an exclusive and critical circle of customers.
Since then, Ester & Erik have developed the concept, improving and refining the traditional candle-making methods. Today, the company produces tapered, block and conical candles with exciting new surfaces, including mother-of-pearl and lacquer. Yet the focus remains firmly set on the original idea of producing top-quality candles using the finest craftsmanship.
We now keep one of the largest ranges of Ester & Erik candles in the UK and uniquely are able to sell them one candle at a time delivered to anywhere in the world allowing customers to buy only the number and colour they need.
I believe that candles can be used to create a relaxing, friendly atmosphere, turning any occasion into something special. As the Danes would say; Hygge.
