The story begins in Denmark in 1987 when Ester and Erik Møller set out to create something special.
After spending more than 15 years working within the candle industry, Erik dreamed of producing a handcrafted candle of exceptional quality. Together with his wife Ester, he founded the company that would eventually become one of Denmark's most respected candle makers. Their vision was simple: to create beautiful candles that would bring warmth, joy and elegance into people's lives.
The heart featured in the Ester & Erik logo is more than just a design element. It represents the couple's love for each other, their passion for craftsmanship and their dedication to creating candles of outstanding quality.
Handmade in Denmark
Today, every Ester & Erik candle is still produced at the company's factory in Silkeborg, Denmark.
While modern technology helps support production, traditional candle-making techniques remain at the heart of the process. Each taper candle is dipped in warm wax 24 to 25 times over several hours to achieve its elegant shape before being coloured, finished and carefully inspected by hand.
This commitment to craftsmanship is one of the reasons Ester & Erik candles have earned such a loyal following. They aren't mass-produced decorative accessories. Each candle is the result of decades of expertise, refinement and attention to detail.
